Doucette's Special Events, Party and Tent Rental
Towards the end of my freshman year of college I was hired by Doucette’s Special Events Party and Tent Rental to work on their field team. After about a year of working for them, I began designing for the company in addition to working in the field. Selected are some of the projects I completed while working there.
The previous price list used by Doucette's had an outdated inventory and too many colors and typefaces. They asked that I make a new trifold brochure, so I focused on the typefaces and colors that they've become known by from their trucks and trailers. The result is an easy to read and cohesive price list ready to fit the businesses needs.
After years of sunbeaten wear and tear, it was decided that the banner on the front of the building needed to be replaced. Continuing to maintain the color pallete and typefaces, I created this banner with the website easily readable from the road and recognizable icons of a tent and bounce house to signify some of the specialties of the company.
While Doucette's recieves great pictures of their events from their clients, most weren't of a professional quality or we needed to get permission to use. With the countless deliveries I helped with over 3+ years working for them, coupled with my photography experience, I was able to capture photos with my camera that worked well for advertising and marketing that highlighted the potential items for rent. Alongside these projects, I also did website work for them through updating inventory, adding pictures of products, zeroing on brand identity through the website color pallete, and creating new pages and information to make the user experience seemless and understandable.
